Welcome to Lone Star Opera

So, why are we here? We are all very different people, but we all have one thing in common, a passion for an art form unlike any other. This community was created for anyone who's life has been changed by opera, whether it be on stage, in the audience, behind the scenes, in the pit, or at home.
Lone Star Opera centers around the Fort Worth Opera Festival, but we want to know what is going on out there, wherever you are. If you are working in the business, take a moment to tell us about where you are and what you are doing on the "Opera Map." Upload photos, videos, whatever you want to share with your colleagues, friends, fans, and family. We definitely want to hear your thoughts, so feel free to make comments, blog, send messages, whatever. Discussions and debates are welcome and encouraged here, but let's not make this into a forum for complaining, attacking, gossip, or any of those other things that can turn this environment sour. Keep up with all the buzz from the 2010 Fort Worth Opera Festival, using the various links including "cast," "shows," and "events," and check out the interviews and other videos of those involved, including performers, composer Jorge Martin, and others.
That brings me to my involvement here. Aside from being a cast member in Before Night Falls, I will be somewhat moderating this network from the road, so if you have any questions or concerns, feel free to drop me a line.
